Space Availability - Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library

Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library offers individuals seats, as well as shared study spaces on the 3rd and 4th floor.

Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library offers the use of shared study space to registered Barry University students. Graduating students may continue to use shared study spaces up to ninety days following the end of their last registered semester. Shared study spaces are for two people, and are not intended for use as individual study rooms. Students must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. To ensure physical distancing, shared study spaces are limted to only two people for the purpose of studying and meeting.
  2. Students are required to checkin to the room by visiting http://barryuniversity.libcal.com/r, using the link provided in the email confirmation, or scanning the QR code outside the room.
  3. Your reservation will be cancelled after 20 minutes if you do not check in. If cancelled, the shared study space will be released for availability to other students.
  4. Barry protocol requires students to clean their study space before leaving the library.
  5. Reservation times for undergraduate students are two (2) hours per session. Reservation times for graduate students are four (4) hours per session.
  6. Students can proceed directly to the reserved shared study space, as the room will be unlocked.  There is no need to check-out a key from the circulation desk.  
  7. Food is not allowed in shared study spaces.
  8. Furniture cannot be moved in or out of the room.
  9. All windows must remain uncovered.
  10. The library is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal property.
  11. Failure to comply with library rules may result in the immediate relinquishing of the room.
